Walking the Dog

So often we get caught in the riptide that is our lives, our goals, our wants, and needs. Before we know it we are being swept seaward and like areal life riptide we struggle to get straight back to shore, but our efforts a thwarted.

It is understandable. It happens to us all. That is why it is even more important to take the time, to schedule the time for yourself. Time to slow down, to stop our machinations, and simply enjoy the moment.

It need not be long, a few minutes with a hot cup of tea and a window view. A couple of silent moments with eyes closed and breath steady and observed. An evening with family and a board game.

Best yet, Take your dog for a walk!
